Tottenham v Arsenal Preview

It is a pretty even-looking contest on paper today and both Spurs and the Gunners have been in similar form in the league.  The table below shows the respective results from the North Londoners’ past six matches and overall there is not much between them:

Tottenham v Arsenal Past 6 League Form Guide

Tottenham v Arsenal Past 6 League Form Guide

With the Lilywhites having secured a draw early in the season at the Emirates Stadium, this one could well be headed the same way.  However, Spurs and Arsenal have improved since then and now both look like different teams.  The White Hart Lane supporters have had plenty more to cheer about in 2015 and both teams are coming off big wins.

Head to head, Arsenal have bragging rights and in the last six meetings of these two they have lost just once in the Gareth Bale inspired 2-1 win at the Lane almost 2 years ago.  The new kid on the block is the much talked about Harry Kane and him and Christian Eriksen surely pose the most likely sources of goals for the home side today.  Arsenal will be relishing this match, with manager Arsene Wenger looking to put some distance between the bitter rivals with a famous away victory.  In the race for a coveted fourth place in 2015 this will surely be one that will shape that final league table in a big way.  Back in 2013 when Spurs did get their last North London Derby win they were above the Gunners in the table and it looked like a possible power shift but by the end of the season Arsenal were yet again able to get back on top – just.

Spurs v Arsenal Head to Head & Home & Away

Spurs v Arsenal Head to Head, plus home and away performances

For this match, it is very difficult to predict a clear-cut outcome but the bookmakers have Arsenal as favourites.  One certainty is that the atmosphere will be great and it will be a proper dogfight.  Worth checking out the bookie specials for this match at bet365 & BetVictor, too.

Get 4/1 on Man City to beat Everton: Stats Say Value

Citeh v Toffees - EPL Week 36 Predictions
Saturday @ 17:30

Here’s a boosted odds alert ans analysis for one of this weekend’s Premier League matches.  Open a new account with BetVictor and place your first bet on Man City to beat Everton in the (win/draw/win) market on Man City v Everton and your odds will be enhanced to 4/1.  The game is on Saturday 6th December at 17:30 at the Etihad Stadium and our tips prediction engine has calculated the probability of a City win at 56% (26% draw, 20% Everton win).

Second placed City’s home record has been OK of late, winning 4 out of their last 6 matches there. They did lose one on 30th August against Stoke City 1-0 (courtesy of a Diouf goal on 58 minutes) plus a 1-1 draw with leaders Chelsea in this period after Lampard’s late equalising strike.  Apart form that home has been a sweet one for the Citizens.

Everton have not been travelling so well and have lost to Spurs and Manchester United away from Goodison Park  recently.   That said, they have managed away wins over Burnley and West Brom but Manchester City is certainly a much more daunting prospect.  Plus, City also defeated Bayern Munich at home in the Champions League.

Check out our stats chart for the Manchester City at home and Everton away records in their last 20 matches below.

Screen Shot 2014-12-04 at 11.50.06

In terms of head to head at the Etihad Stadium over the last few years, the best Everton have managed is a draw just over two years ago.  As can be seen below the other games held there have resulted in two goal margins to the Citizens.

Screen Shot 2014-12-04 at 11.54.37
From this analysis of the stats it looks like these 4/1 enhanced odds are good value and we are recommending this bet to our readers who are new to BetVictor.

England Slovenia Odds – Best Odds are a 5/1 ENGLAND Win

England Slovenia Odds – Best Odds are a 5/1 ENGLAND Win

England Slovenia Odds – Best Odds are a 5/1 ENGLAND Win

Yes, put down those glasses, you read it right.  As recently reported by Betting AppStore, bookmakers BetVictor have produced the best England Slovenia odds of 5/1 for the home win.   Top of the table England are sitting pretty with 9 points in the European Championship Qualifiers, but Slovenia are just behind in second spot with 6 points.

To qualify for these enhanced odds you’ll need to be a new customer of BetVictor and if so you can secure the offer by following this link.

England Slovenia Odds: Form Guide

Things are pretty close here, although England has the edge having won their last four matches: Estonia (12th Oct), San Marino (9th Oct), Switzerland (8th Sept) and Norway (3rd Sept).  Prior to that, England drew with Costa Rica on June 24th in the 2014 World Cup.  In all of these five matches, England have not conceded a solitary goal.

Slovenia beat Lithuania 2-0 away on October 12th and Switzerland at home on October 9th, keeping clean sheets in both games.  Their previous three games ended in three successive defeats to Estonia (8th Sept), Argentina and Uruguay (both in the recent World Cup).

England Slovenia Odds: Head to Head Record

England and Slovenia have played each other twice before with England winning both matches.  The previous England Slovenia match at Wembley was a friendly back in September 2009.  the result then was 2-1 to England with the goals coming from Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe.  At that time, Defoe was in sparkling form, and later that year scored a record 5 goals in Spurs’ 9-1 thrashing of Wigan Athletic – all of them in the second half.

The next England Slovenia game was at the 2010 World Cup (group stage) where Defoe again featured, netting the winner in the 23rd minute.  Although Jermain can’t influence the England Slovenia odds this time, the huge home support expected will surely be a major factor.

Berahino Called Up

Roy Hodgson has rewarded the feats of the West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino with his first England cap.  Currently the top (English) goal scorer in the Premier League, Berahino’s  England record at under-21 level is Ronaldo-esque:  10 goals in 10 matches.  Not to put too much expectation on the lad.

The speed of Berahino’s development has been nothing short of incredible.  It’s hard to believe that just a couple of short years ago he was out on loan at Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterborough United. In the Premier League this year, he’s already netted seven goals so far.

England Slovenia Odds Elsewhere

These England Slovenia odds from BetVictor are going to be hard to beat, and you won’t find enhanced England Slovenia odds this good anywhere else except at Coral, who have England Slovenia odds of 5/1 for England to win or draw.  The max bet is £5 at Coral and you need to be a new customer.  You can sign up using this link.

The six-year-old heads the field and is ‘ready to do battle’ according to Jamie Snowden.  Having won on the same course and distance at the Festival in the spring, Present View has been prominent in ante-post lists.

Trainer Snowden commented; “We always thought he would carry a nice racing weight in the Paddy Power. It was a fantastic prep run at Cheltenham in a novice hurdle and arguably he should have won but for making a bad mistake at the last and getting beaten a head.  I’m not scared of any one horse. He’s handled the hurly-burly of Cheltenham and proved that he handles the track and the occasion. I wouldn’t swap him for anything.”

About the Paddy Power Gold Cup

The Paddy Power Gold Cup is a Grade 3 National Hunt chase in Great Britain which is open to horses aged four years or older. Taking place on the Old Course at Cheltenham, the Paddy Power Gold Cup is a handicap race run over a distance of about 2 miles and 4½ furlongs  or 4,124 metres in new money. There are a total of fifteen fences to be jumped.

The event was established back in 1960 as the Mackeson Gold Cup and retained the sponsor until 1995.  Its present sponsor is Paddy Power, who have sponsored the race since 2003.

England v Slovenia Odds of 5/1 Win

England v Slovenia Odds of 5/1 Win

England v Slovenia Odds of 5/1 Win

BetVictor have come up with a great offer – England v Slovenia odds of 5/1 for the home win.  In the European Championship Qualifiers, England are currently top of the table with 9 points,  followed by Slovenia in second with 6.

To get these odds you’ll need to be a new customer to BetVictor and you can get there using this link.

England v Slovenia Odds: Head to Head Record

England have played Slovenia twice before and been victorious in both matches.  The previous England v Slovenia match at Wembley was a friendly on 5th September 2009 with the result 2-1 thanks to goals from (at the time) Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and Totenham’s Jermain Defoe.  Defoe was in great form, and just a few months afterwards hit 5 second half goals in Spurs’ 9-1 thrashing of Wigan Athletic.

The other meeting between England and Slovenia was in the 2010 World Cup group stage where the Three Lions again had Jermain Defoe to thank for his 23rd minute winner.  There will be no Jermain Defoe this time to influence the England v Slovenia odds but the home team will have a bumper crowd of over 80,000 behind them.

A first call-up for West Brom striker Saido Berahino is fully deserved and he should cause all sorts of problems for the visiting Slovenians.  Saido is the top English goal scorer in the Premier League this season. His England record at under-21 level is equally impressive – he has scored ten in ten.  However, of course this is a step up to the big time.

The speed of Berahino’s development has been nothing short of incredible.  It’s hard to believe that just a couple of short years ago he was out on loan at Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterborough United. In the Premier League this year, he’s already netted seven goals so far.

These England v Slovenia odds from BetVictor are going to be hard to beat, especially given the closeness of the two teams in the table at the current time.

England v Slovenia Odds: Form Guide

In terms of form, England have the edge and have won their last four matches: Estonia (12th Oct), San Marino (9th Oct), Switzerland (8th Sept) and Norway (3rd Sept).  Prior to that, England drew with Costa Rica on June 24th in the 2014 World Cup.  In all of these five matches, England have not conceded a solitary goal.

The Slovenian national team have just beaten Lithuania 2-0 away (12th Oct) and Switzerland at home (Oct 9th), keeping clean sheets in both games.  Prior to that, things were not so rosy with three successive defeats to Estonia (8th Sept), Argentina and Uruguay (World Cup).   So, England are in the slightly better form right now.
