EPL Week 12 Predictions 2013/14

Following the international break it’s EPL Week 12 predictions time – and here are your predictions and guide to betting.

11EPL Week 12 Predictions: Everton v Liverpool betting preview14

Who could have predicted at the end of last season how these two teams would be doing so well – and that makes this one huge.  Particularly for Everton, whose squad is not as deep and they need to get the points at home here against the rampant Reds.  Liverpool, with their forward firepower, start slight bookie favourites at 2.50 and the Toffees at 2.90.  Probably the more likely result could be a draw, and that’s where the best odds of 3.25 can be had.

3EPL Week 12 Predictions: Arsenal v  Southampton betting preview20

What an interesting test this will be for Mauricio Pochettino’s Saints after they have impressed the pants off everyone so far with an away win at Liverpool and drawing with Manchester United at Old Trafford.  This away game will be an even sterner examination against the league leaders though, who are surely not going to get mugged like the others have.  Arsenal are overwhelming favourites at 1.66 and very good returns can be made if you back Southampton to leave the Emirates with any points at all.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Arsenal win  | Draw | Southampton win

fulhamEPL Week 12 Predictions: Fulham v Swansea  betting previewswansea

Anyone’s guess how Fulham will decide to play this week but you’s have to fancy the Swans here, who are the bookmakers’ favourite going into this one. Fulham need to pull their finger out or it’s relegation looming.

hullEPL Week 12 Predictions: Hull v Crystal Palace betting preview31

Hull are a pretty solid outfit and shold easily see off the at times woeful Palace at home.  Odds for a Palace win at 4.50 might be tempting for those thinking a surprise turnaround in form could be on the cards.  Could the Eagles dare?

Best Bookie Betting OddsHull win | Draw | Crystal Palace win

4EPL Week 12 Predictions: Newcastle v Norwich betting previewnorwich

Newcastle have put in some better performances of late and the win at Spurs was unexpected in most quarters.  Norwich have had their struggles and you’d expect them to continue at St James’ Park although Chris Hughton would surely ‘love it’ if his team could prove a point for his managerial skills.  Big odds for a Norwich win at 4.50 – but the smart money is on the Magpies.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Newcastle win | Draw | Norwich win

stokeEPL Week 12 Predictions: Stoke City v Sunderland betting previewsunderland

Stoke get to test out the reinvigorated Black Cats this week and bookies expect them to get over the line at 2.15.  Get 3.60 for a Sunderland win.  Big odds of 26.00 for Sunderland at half time then Stoke win – or 41.00 for the the reverse (Stoke lead at half time then Sunderland win).

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Stoke City win | Draw | Sunderland win

21EPL Week 12 Predictions: West Ham v Chelsea betting preview8

The Hammers should be hapless at home as Chelsea look to continue their march up the table, or so think the bookmakers.  5.00 for a home win.  Here’s a bet to make it interesting:  Half time score 1-0, full time 1-3 at 126.00.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: West Ham | Draw | Chelsea win

EPL Week 12 Predictions: Man City v Tottenham betting preview6mancity

Tough one for Spurs here as Man City have dominated at home this season and this will surely continue against a Spurs team that are big on possession but short on goals.  That said, Spurs have been good away from the Lane but their lack of firepower will surely be the weakness.  5.50 for a Tottenham win.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Manchester City win | Draw | Tottenham win

11cardiffEPL Week 12 Predictions: Cardiff  v Man Utd betting preview

5.50 here for a Cardiff win, and if they could repeat their heroics like with Man City it would bring the crowd to life.  United are hitting form though and will probably edge this one.

7westbromEPL Week 12 Predictions: West Brom v Aston Villa betting preview

Monday night’s TV game sees the Baggies go at it with local rivals Villa.   West Brom start home favourites but if Benteke can get back on form for the visitors it will be a tight match. Anyone’s guess this – probably a draw looks safest.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: West Brom win | Draw | Aston Villa win

This week it’s EPL Week 11 and here are your predictions and guide to betting. We’re at about the quarter mark of the season and the league is still looking very open.

7EPL Week 11 Predictions: Aston Villa v Cardiff City betting previewmancity

Villa host Cardiff who are on the up again after winning the first Welsh Premier League derby.  This week the Bluebirds who play in red are at fairly long odds of 4.00 to take all 3 points.  Villa at1.95 with 3.40 for the draw.  Benteke is back but the goals have dried up so this really could go either way.

8EPL Week 11 Predictions: Chelsea v  West Brom betting previewmanutd

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back after the defeat to Newcastle, tipped correctly by Betmeister last week. At home and buoyed by their midweek Champions’ League win, you can see why you can get odds of 11.00 for a Baggies win – it is very unlikely.  However, 5.00 for a draw might be tempting as this Blues team is not infallible.

35EPL Week 11 Predictions: Crystal Palace v Everton  betting preview11

Interesting one, this. Palace playing on home turf are so unfancied you can get odds of 6.50 on the for the win.  This could be turn out to be great value if they put in a good performance.  Everton are a solid unit and should prevail, though.

14EPL Week 11 Predictions: Liverpool v Fulham betting previewfulham

Two losers from last weekend meet at Anfield.  It would be one of the mega-shocks of the season if Fulham get any points here and Martin Jol will be sweating now.  Fulham surely won’t win as they don’t travel well and bookies have them at 13.00 to win, whereas a draw is 5.50 which could be remotely possible if very doubtful.  Reds to win easily.

Best Bookie Betting OddsLiverpool win | Draw | Fulham win

20EPL Week 11 Predictions: Southampton v Hull City betting previewhull

The Saints at home up against a Hull City side coming off another win, this time over Sunderland. Bookies fully expect Southampton to take the points at home and you’d be brave to bet against that wisdom.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Southampton win | Draw | Hull City win

norwichEPL Week 11 Predictions: Norwich City v West Ham betting preview21

Two more teams really struggling this season meet at Carrow Road. Take your pick, these two are evenly matched with Norwich very slight favourites.  Best odds are for the draw (3.25) which would not be unreasonable to back.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Norwich City win | Draw | West Ham win

6EPL Week 11 Predictions: Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United betting preview4

Spurs have been iffy at home so far so it will be interesting to see if they can fire against a Magpies side that are flying high after shooting down title contenders Chelsea. Should they reproduce that form again and manage to get even a goal against the miserly Tottenham defence it could be another 3 points for the Magpies who are out to 6.50 to win at the Lane.  Catch it on Sky Sports.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Tottenham win | Draw | Newcastle United win

sunderlandEPL Week 11 Predictions: Sunderland v Man City betting previewmancity

The Black Cats face another big team this week, one who are finding top gear again in Man City. A home win is currently at 8.00 for Sunderland and don’t they need the points.  Difficult to imagine City letting this one slip but they have already dropped several points from their road trips this season so maybe this is worth considering.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Sunderland win | Draw | Manchester City win

11EPL Week 11 Predictions: Man Utd v Arsenal betting preview6

Match of the week, this one.  Despite being way ahead at the top of the league, Arsenal do not start favourites at Old Trafford which may surprise some.  An Arsenal win gets odds of 3.30 with United at 2.25 and a draw at 3.30.  Should be a cracker.

97EPL Week 11 Predictions: Swansea City v Stoke City betting previewstoke

The Swans will need to get back to their best if Stoke continue their good form here. But you’d expect Swansea to bounce back after the derby disappointment and backing a Stoke win gets you 4.33 odds.

This week it’s EPL Week 10 and here are your predictions and guide to betting. We’re at about the quarter mark of the season and the league is still looking very open.

4EPL Week 10 Predictions: Newcastle v Chelsea betting preview8

Newcastle and Chelsea meet at St James’ Park with the respective teams having very different runs of form.  The Magpies, having been beaten by local rivals Sunderland despite playing pretty well are rank outsiders at 6.00 in this early (12:45) Saturday kick off game.  These odds look pretty good and a draw is at 3.75.  Fernando Torres is looking sharp again and having a great season, with Chelsea deservedly starting favourites but Newcastle at home will be desperate for points.

54EPL Week 10 Predictions: Fulham v  Manchester United betting previewmanutd

Fulham host Manchester United at Craven Cottage and this is a game that will see one of the managers under a lot of scrutiny if either loses.  United managed to stage a last gasp comeback at home against Stoke last weekend, sparing David Moyes’ blushes.  Fulham have been up and down in a real Jekyll and Hyde season, and were comprehensively outplayed by Southampton.  The Saints are a fine team but Fulham were awful, and Martin Jol should be nervous.  United are favourites to win at 1.60 with the Cottagers quoted at 5.50 for a home victory.  A draw looks good value for punters at 4.0.

88EPL Week 10 Predictions: Hull City v Sunderland betting preview56

What a difference a week makes.  Before beating Newcastle, it was hard to see much hope for Sunderland in any fixture.  And with Hull getting beaten by Tottenham Hotspur twice in the space of a few days (league and Capital One Cup) albeit narrowly the Tigers are on a downer.  Bookies have Hull City as home favourites at 2.25 and Sunderland are at 3.30 for a rare away win.  If the Black Cats do play with the fire they had against the Magpies you could see them nicking this but Hull are well organised and hard to break down.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Hull City win | Draw | Sunderland win

43EPL Week 10 Predictions: Manchester City v Norwich City betting preview45

On the face of it, Manchester City v Norwich City looks like a pretty straightforward prediction.  But the big talking point from the last week is England goalkeeper Joe Hart being dropped for Costel Pantilimon. Without Vincent Kompany and with Hart’s howler City were again beaten away from home last week.  However, at home Manchester City have won every game and Norwich manager Chris Hughton must be dreading this as Man City look to bounce back.  You can help yourself to a massive 15.00 odds for a Norwich win with 6.50 for the draw.  The home team are unbackable at 1.20.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Manchester City win | Draw | Norwich City win

110EPL Week 10 Predictions: Stoke City v Southampton betting preview20

Battle of the red and white stripes.  The Saints look to be the better of the two, even though this is at the Brittania. Stoke played well at Old Trafford and were a bit unlucky not to come away with points.  Potters manager Mark Hughes will need to get his players well organised to score against this Southampton team that have conceded the least number of goals in the league. Saints start favourites but you get the feeling that this could easily go the way of Stoke who are at 3.00 for a home win.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Stoke City win | Draw | Southampton win

35EPL Week 10 Predictions: West Brom v Crystal Palace betting preview31

West Brom up against the hapless Palace.  Odds on an Eagles win at The Hawthorns are at 6.00 which could be good value.  The way in which West Brom were taken apart by some simply sizzling Liverpool goals would have undone any team and you’d expect the Baggies to bounce back at home against a struggling team.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: West Brom win | Draw | Crystal Palace win

21EPL Week 10 Predictions: West Ham United v Aston Villa betting preview7

West Ham and Villa.  I always found it hard to tell these two teams apart as a kid, and it’ll be hard to predict which one will come away on top here.  The Hammers are up and down but at home are slight favourites against Villa at 2.25 for the win.  A draw or Villa win at 3.30.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: West Ham win | Draw | Aston Villa win

3EPL Week 10 Predictions: Arsenal v Liverpool betting preview14

The most eagerly anticipated fixture of the round. Arsenal are home favourites at 2.29 but have suffered injury blows and Liverpool are a force to be reckoned with again.  Super Suarez and Sturridge were on fire last week and a repeat of that kind of performance would see them win for sure at the Emirates.  This is going to be hard to predict but Liverpool win at 3.25 looks to be pretty good value.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Arsenal win | Draw | Liverpool win

11EPL Week 10 Predictions: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur betting preview6

Everton coming up against Tottenham is another game where two teams are going to be extremely evenly matched and at Goodison the Toffees may have the advantage. On 18 and 19 points respectively, Spurs were fortunate with a penalty decision to get a home win over Hull last week.  However, as AVB keeps pointing out, despite one loss over leaders Arsenal Tottenham have won every other away match. Everton start as favourites at 2.50, Spurs are at 2.90 and a draw could be the sensible option at 3.25.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Everton win | Draw | Tottenham win
Bet from a Blackberry SmartPhone

97EPL Week 10 Predictions: Cardiff City v Swansea City betting preview80

The Swans are on the road after two home games but it’s only a short trip to their Welsh neighbours for the first ever Premier League Welsh derby between these two. The visitors start as away favourites with bookies at 2.29 and better odds can in fact be had on a draw (3.30) than a home win (3.20).  With derbies anything can happen and the form book sometimes gets thrown out of the window so a Cardiff home win will fans at full voice could be a good tip.

arsenalEPL Week 9 Predictions: Crystal Palace v Arsenal betting preview

Live on BT Sport 1. Palace were thrashed at home on Monday by Fulham and now face the table-topping Gunners who will be looking to bounce back after that home Champions League loss.  You don’t often see a home team quoted at 9.00 for a win and 4.75 for a draw but that is the state of Crystal Palace at the moment.  Smart money is on Arsenal but the ‘new manager’ effect (if Palace have one by then) could play a part.  Palace surely would take a draw.

The Reds are having their best start in many years and it should resume at Anfield on Saturday against West Brom after dropping 2 points against 10-man Newcastle.  You have to remember West Brom’s win at Old Trafford a few weeks back though and wonder if the Baggies can’t rise to the challenge again.  Great odds of around 8.00 for a WBA win can be had.

manchester-unitedEPL Week 9 Predictions: Manchester United v Stoke City betting preview

How times change quickly from one season to the next.  Most teams are now arriving at Old Trafford thinking that they are in with a good chance of grabbing points, which was unthinkable earlier this year.  However, this is Stoke City who really are not in United’s class and struggling to score goals.  Odds of 5.00 for a draw and 10.00 for a Stoke win tells the story.

norwich-cityEPL Week 9 Predictions: Norwich City v Cardiff City betting preview

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay needs more from his Cardiff team that showed such early season promise. Whilst the long West to East trip to Norwich is going to give him a lot of thinking time to come up with a plan to beat the Canaries, but Norwich should win.  They are in need of points and odds for a home victory are shortest.

southamptonEPL Week 9 Predictions: Southampton v Fulham betting preview

To round out Saturday’s fixtures, the Saints host Fulham in a match live on Sky Sports 1.  Everyone has been impressed with Southampton since they have been back in the Prem, and with Fulham’s (normally) dodgy away form you would be brave to back the Cottagers who are quoted at around 5.5 for an away win.  A draw at 4.00 is pretty tempting, and if Fulham can keep the confidence of Monday’s trip to Palace going, who knows?

The Tyne and Wear derby, live on Sky Sports 1, is always full of passion and Sunderland are really going to have to show it to get pull themselves out of the Premier League gutter.  These games are always tough to predict but even though this is at the Stadium of Light, Newcastle are slight favourites to win. 3.25 for a draw seems a good bet.

It’s battle of the oil money funded teams and both are looking strong.  Usually these games are tight low scoring affairs and Chelsea being at home are bookie favourites.  Points will be dropped here which will suit Arsenal and Liverpool, and the chances of a City win probably depends whether or not Vincent Kompany is fit in time.

The Swans got a first home league win of the season last week and should make it 2 in a row here against the Irons.  Although West Ham shocked every pundit with their first win at Tottenham this century a couple of weeks ago, but they go into this match without any fit recognised strikers.  If West Ham do manage to score, Swansea are capable of scoring more and are the big home favourites.

Manchester City v Everton betting preview

This is the pick of the week and features the last unbeaten team in the league going away to one of the title favourites.  Man City have the home record to end Everton’s run but the Toffees do have what it takes to win this.  They will need to be at their best, though. An Everton win is about as big odds as an Aston Villa win was last week – food for thought?  Pretty good odds on a draw, too.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace betting preview

Cardiff City v Newcastle betting preview

Now here’s an even looking contest – anyone’s guess what the score will end up at but a draw will give you the best return. Cardiff City are having a blinder of a debut Premier League season and come off a win at Fulham.  Newcastle were outclassed by Everton and will be hungry in front of the Magpie faithful.

Fulham v Stoke City betting preview

Here is another very difficult to predict match between two seemingly even matched teams.  Last week we thought Fulham at home would surely prevail after their ordinary start but they lost. Stoke are also coming off a home loss to Norwich City was was totally unexpected by most punters.  Again, no clear favourite but best odds on a draw – sounds like a plan.

Hull City  v Aston Villa betting preview

Wow – Hull have looked really tight on their return to the EPL this season and will look to continue their good home form against the Villa. The Midlands team have beaten Arsenal and Manchester City already this year but which Aston Villa will turn up on Saturday at 3 is the question.  Bookies have Hull as slight favourites

Sunderland v Manchester United betting preview

Last week we boldly predicted the only banker of the week was a Man United win against West Brom. Ahem.  That was the old United we were thinking of.  However – Sunderland are a different proposition to the Super Baggies and SURELY with the quality they have they will rebound this time. Good odds for a draw if you’re brave.

Norwich City v Chelsea betting preview

Live on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday, this one could be an interesting watch.  Norwich will be very happy with last weeks result away to Stoke but this is Chelsea and wins don’t come often for the Canaries against them.  Very good returns if you put your money on Norwich or even a draw.  The Blues will surely prevail though?

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Norwich City win | Draw | Chelsea win

Southampton v Swansea City betting preview

In this topsy-turvy season this battle looks to be a great one to watch. Expect a tough contest and one that Swansea should be pressing hard to emerge victorious from, having lost narrowly at home to the Gunners last week.  Southampton are good value and riding high with 11 points already – equal with Chelsea.  On form and at home you’d favour the Saints and the best return is on a Swans win.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Southampton win | Draw | Swansea City win

West Brom v Arsenal betting preview

The Baggies are back on form after one of the biggest upsets for years at Old Trafford last time out.  With table-topping Arsenal visiting they will need a repeat performance to get a result.  The Gunners start as clear favourites and are running hot in all competitions.  Mesut Ozil has transformed them into a confident group and to bet against them taking all the points here will give you good odds indeed.  Worth a shout.

Spurs are going along very nicely and although held by Chelsea last week they should be more than a match for West Ham – although this is far from a banker!  The Hammers are in desperate need of points but just haven’t been getting the ball in the back of net enough.  Massive returns to be had for a West Ham win at White Hart Lane (7.5 at time of writing).

In EPL Week 6 predictions  Betmeister picked up just 5 points with just 3 correct results whilst arch rival Little Sidekick managed to claw back with 7 points even though he also only got 3 right.  Two of his were exact scores – but he remains 10 points adrift of BM who still trails Lawro by 4.

EPL Week 6 Predictions 2013/14

Here are our EPL Week 6 Predictions. Betmeister (BM) is back on form and has overtaken Little Sidekick (LS) as we go head to head with football predictions throughout the 2013-14 English Premier League football season. Lawro picked up some good points and remains the leader but only just.

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea betting preview

Chelsea’s return to winning ways saw them lead the table on Saturday night, prompting Jose to ask ‘What crisis?’.  Tottenham then got away from Cardiff with a last minute winner on Sunday and leap-frogged the blues into second place.  This should be a real test of character for AVB’s men who must win against the top teams if they are to remain in the elusive top 4.  Mourinho may play Willian to rub Tottenham’s nose in the fact that he poached the player and AVB will have his own points to prove.  Chelsea are the current bookies favourites to win at White Hart Lane with the biggest odds on a draw.  The previous meeting this year at Stamford Bridge finished 2-2, incidentally.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Tottenham win | Draw | Chelsea win  Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Aston Villa v Manchester City betting preview

Villa face a red hot City and it is hard to see them coming away from this one with points.  You can get big odds on a home AVFC win (as big as 6.00 at time of writing), as City are firm favourites after their demolition of the reigning champions and bitter rivals on the red side of Manchester.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Aston Villa win  | Draw | Manchester City win

Fulham v Cardiff betting preview

Fulham are due a home win and that’s the way the bookmakers currently see it.  Perhaps good value on a draw which is not much less of a return than a Cardiff away win.  Could be a low scoring affair.

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Fulham win | DrawCardiff win

Hull v West Ham betting preview

Hull City Tigers begin as slight home favourites as this evenly contested Premier League season continues to unfold.  West Ham will give stern resistance and this could easily go either way.  Best odds currently are on a drawn game.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Hull City Tigers win | Draw | West Ham United win

Manchester United  v West Bromwich Albion betting preview

With United smarting from their thrashing at Man City, West Brom must be shuddering with fear.  To win at United is a long shot for the Baggies (or any team) at any time but David Moyes will accept nothing less than a comfortable victory.  The bookmakers expect a romp and very decent odds can be had on a draw.  A United win is surely a banker.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Manchester United win | Draw | West Bromwich Albion win

Southampton v Crystal Palace betting preview

The Saints are having a great season and start at red hot favourites for Palace’s visit to St Mary’s. You can get tidy odds on a draw in this fixture and great odds for a Crystal Palace win.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Southampton win | Draw | Crystal Palace win

Swansea v Arsenal betting preview

Arsenal are on fire at the moment and deservedly top the table after that first game wake-up call.  Swansea at home is going to be a real test and surely the Gunners will drop points at some stage again.  Arsenal start as slight bookmakers favourites but if Swansea can continue their recent form they can get a result.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Swansea City win | Draw | Arsenal win

Stoke v Norwich betting preview

Sunday’s lunch time kick-off sees Stoke as the favourites at the Britannia.   Like all teams, Norwich will find it hard going there but especially as their form has been poor of late.  Can Chris Hughton conjure something here and get back to winning ways?

Best Bookie Betting Odds:  Stoke City win | Draw | Norwich City win

Sunderland v Liverpool betting preview

Whilst Liverpool lost for the first time this season against Southampton, Sunderland are in a bad way, have sacked Di Canio and you’d expect an away win for the Reds.  Liverpool will be desperate to bounce back and with Suarez possibly returning they are the big favourites.  The Black Cats will need something very special to happen to win here.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Sunderland win | Draw | Liverpool win

Everton v Newcastle United betting preview

The Toffees had a stirring away victory last time out and look really sharp and settled as a team under Roberto Martinez.  Newcastle were stung by the home loss to Hull and will find it even tougher going at Goodison Park though.  Big odds available for a Magpies win.

Best Bookie Betting Odds: Everton win | Draw | Newcastle United win

In EPL Week 5 predictions  BM correctly predicted the Everton away win at Upton Park and LS got Villa’s away win at Carrow Road right.  But BM has skipped away by getting every Sunday game correct and the Arsenal Stoke result exactly right (3-1).  On 36 points, BM is is now just 1 behind Lawro with LS needing to bounce back.

We’re tipping our Premier League betting tips predictions over the full Barclays Premier League season. The rules of engagement are 1 point for the correct result and 3 points for correct result with the correct score. Also, see links to the best football betting sites.

Here are your EPL Week 5 Predictions. Betmeister (BM) is back on form and has overtaken Little Sidekick (LS) as we go head to head with football predictions throughout the 2013-14 English Premier League football season. Lawro picked up some good points and remains the leader.

EPL Week 4 predictions saw BM pick up 5 correct results including exact scores on Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal and Spurs 2-0 Norwich. LS picked up 4 correct results.

Norwich v Aston Villa betting preview

Two teams in need of points, Norwich and Villa will both fancy their chances here. We are divided both ways but Norwich at home should be strong and Villa have struggled since the season opener.

Betting predictions:  3-2 (BM), 0-2 (LS).  Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Liverpool v Southampton betting preview

Top dogs Liverpool are due a loss at some point but we agree that at Anfield they should come out on top with the Kop behind them. Southampton are decent and would be worth a few quid on getting something out of this match though.

Betting predictions:  2-0 (BM), 3-0 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Newcastle v Hull betting preview

Newcastle can continue their good start to the season here and make things hard for Hull.  Sorry, Hull City Tigers.  They would do well to hold the Magpies away which is what LS thinks will happen in a goalless affair.

Betting predictions: 1-0 (BM), 0-0 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

West Brom v Sunderland betting preview

The Baggies and Black Cats are propping up the table with the poorest of records and still winless after 4 games.  LS reckons they’ll both remain winless while BM says West Brom will grab all 3 points at The Hawthorns.

Betting predictions: 2-0 (BM), 2-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

West Ham v Everton betting preview

Evertonians will be over the moon with the defeat of Chelsea but when they play away it is often a less intense display and West Ham will be tough.  BM says a draw – LS reckons the Hammers to lose on home soil.

Betting predictions: 2-2 (BM), 1-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Chelsea v Fulham betting preview

A really poor week by Chelsea’s normally high standards.  2 losses in a week. Fulham are not up to getting near them at home though.  Even the most optimistic Fulham fan would admit that.  Great odds for a Fulham result of any sort though.

Betting predictions: 2-0 (BM), 2-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Arsenal v Stoke betting preview

The Gunners are flying high and you would expect them to continue on their great run with a comfortable victory over Stoke at The Emirates Stadium.  Stoke have quality but their game plan will be to stifle Arsenal’s rhythm.  It probably won’t work.

Betting predictions: 3-1 (BM), 2-0 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Crystal Palace v Swansea betting preview

Palace are not looking too sharp but LS reckons they are winners here against a potentially tired Swansea after their Europa League Thursday night outing.  BM says that the Swans will still have a goal too much for Crystal Palace.

Betting predictions:  1-2 (BM), 2-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Cardiff v Tottenham betting preview

This is an interesting one.  Christian Eriksen showed us last week what he is capable of and appears to be one of the bargains of the season. However, if Cardiff can recreate that incredible atmosphere at home again such as with the win over Man City then anything is possible.  I say Spurs will have the quality to get over the line – BM reckons a draw.  Either way, we expect a tight contest.

Betting predictions: 1-2 (BM), 1-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Man City v Man Utd betting preview

The big one of the weekend.  Both teams have identical records and the noise is going to be intense – which way it goes nobody knows.  We’re split on the result but it has to be said that United were purring in their Champions League midweeker.  City had weaker opposition in theirs but this is anyone’s guess.

Betting predictions:  2-1 (BM), 1-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

EPL Week 4 Predictions 2013/14

Here are your EPL Week 4 Predictions. The tipsters Betmeister (BM) and Little Sidekick (LS) are neck and neck as we continue to go head to head with football predictions throughout the 2013-14 English Premier League football season. Currently, the wily Lawro is ahead of the pack.

EPL Week 3 predictions saw Arsenal thwart Tottenham’s bid to lead the table and Liverpool overcome Manchester United, both by  virtue of 1-0 home wins.  Manchester City returned to winning ways as expected and that was one of the very few results BM got right!

Manchester United v Crystal Palace betting preview

David Moyes has brought in a quality midfield recruit in Marouane Fellaini and will be expecting to see him part of a team that should dominate Saturday’s opposition.  However, Crystal Palace have shown that they are no easy-beats and will be relishing the challenge of Old Trafford. Having done good business on transfer deadline day, Palace should be stronger but it is hard to see them get much better than a share of the points here.

Betting predictions:  3-1 (BM), 4-0 (LS).  Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Stoke v Manchester City betting preview

Stoke are exceeding the expectations of many pundits already and are back where they perform best – The Britannia.  Man City surely cannot harbour realistic title hopes if they drop more points in this game and Manuel Pellegrini may suddenly find himself in the running for the chop if they do.

Betting predictions:  2-2 (BM), 0-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Aston Villa v Newcastle betting preview

Villa need to get their season back on track after their stunning first match of the season against Arsenal. And Newcastle look to be just the team that they will want to play to do that.  The Magpies have scored just one in three and the Geordie natives are getting restless.  Belgian striker Benteke  will look to capitalise on Saturday and only a solid performance from Newcastle will do if they are to get out of this with anything.

Betting predictions: 2-1 (BM), 2-0 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Fulham v West Brom betting preview

Form would suggest a Cottagers win given their love of playing at home.  West Brom have start this season in the starkest contrast to the last and have yet to score a goal, yet Fulham couldn’t get near scoring against Newcastle.  This one is ripe for a change of fortune and it could well come in the form of star striker Dimitar Berbatov.  He is a class act and should lead the team to a win here.

Betting predictions: 1-0 (BM), 3-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Hull v Cardiff betting preview

A difficult to predict outcome is this clash of the promoted clubs.  Cardiff were stunning against Manchester City but that was at home and Hull managed to grind out a result playing with 10 men against Norwich.  LS thinks Cardiff will have too much for Hull at the KC whilst BM can’t separate the teams.

Betting predictions: 2-2 (BM), 1-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Sunderland v Arsenal betting preview

The arrival of Mesut Ozil is the big focus of this match, as the Gunners look to have profited from Gareth Bale going to Real Madrid in a roundabout way.  This guy is worth every penny and Arsenal will be looking to run riot over a currently shambolic Sunderland.  The Black Cats are still without a win and this could get ugly for Paolo Di Canio unless he can inspire his team to a much improved performance.

Betting predictions: 1-3 (BM), 0-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Tottenham v Norwich betting preview

If Spurs are going to show that they have what it takes to get into the top four this season, this is a match they simply must win.  Norwich have enjoyed success at White Hart Lane in recent times and Saturday will reveal a lot about Tottenham’s progress. With an expensively assembled new set of players, Spurs do look strong on paper and need to score their first goal from open play. With all the expectation on the home team, things could play into the Canaries’ hands again.

Betting predictions: 2-0 (BM), 3-0 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Everton v Chelsea betting preview

Chelsea visit Everton and having started striker-less against Man United, it will be interesting to see how Chelsea go into this match against the Toffees. Mourinho seems to still set up his team ‘not to lose’, but now he has Samuel Eto’o in his team, the Cameroonian will surely get the nod start ahead of Torres and Ba.  Opening his account with a goal would be no surprise for a man of his star quality.

Everton are arguably stronger than before the transfer window despite the sale of Fellaini but they needed to be. Jelavic will be left to be the main source of goals but he has hardly been prolific of late.

Betting predictions:  1-1 (BM), 0-2 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Southampton v West Ham betting preview

Both of these teams have identical records so far but the Hammers are looking weak in attack at the moment.  The Saints on the other hand have England striker Rickie Lambert and have added record signing Pablo Osvaldo to the team.  They look good and should push for a win at home.

Betting predictions: 2-1 (BM), 1-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Swansea v Liverpool betting preview

Swansea host top-of-the-league Liverpool and will look to test whether they are in a ‘false position’.  Surely another win for the Reds would have them as realistic title contenders given that Luis Suarez is still to come back?  It is hard to see a way past the Liverpool defence but the Swans will be pushing for a home win.

Betting predictions:  2-1 (BM), 0-1 (LS). Click on prediction to go to site with the best odds.

Premier League Betting Tips – Week 3 Predictions 2013/14

It’s Premier League Betting Tips time again as resident tipsters Betmeister (BM) and Little Sidekick (LS) continue to go head to head with football predictions throughout the 2013-14 English Premier League football season.

So, week 2 of Premier League betting tips evened up the ledger a little as Betmeister crashed to the superior tipping of Little Sidekick. Well, perhaps I was getting a little cocky after the opening round blitz but as they say it’s a marathon rather than a sprint. Not many pundits could have predicted Manchester City’s defeat at the hands of new boys Cardiff City and the odds on that result would have been massive.

This weekend we have a fantastic set of fixtures to predict and it doesn’t get much better than the North London derby as big-spending (but Gareth Bale-less) Tottenham Hotspur aim to make it three wins in a row. Could there be a better adversary to do it against than bitter rivals Arsenal? BM fancies a win for the revamped White Hart Lane team whilst LS thinks it’ll go the way of the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium for the third year in a row but stops short of another 5-2 prediction.

Sunday also features traditional rivals Liverpool and Manchester United in a real test for the Merseyside team against last season’s champions. We both agree that United will have too much for Liverpool at Anfield.

In the Saturday matches, Manchester City will surely bounce back at home to Hull, Cardiff and Everton is a close call, Newcastle and Fulham are invariably unpredictable, with Norwich versus Southampton looking to be close too. The Hammers can rise up with a home win against Stoke and Crystal Palace will be desperate for their first win of the new season, as will their opponents in Sunderland.

The opening round of fixtures did not spring so many shocks as Little Sidekick tipped – Could week 2 be different? Betmeister picked up 9 points in week 1, aided by a perfect prediction of Man City’s 4-0 victory. Little Sidekick picked up just the 2 points but as it is often said, the season is a marathon – not a sprint. Although, LS really should have more faith in his beloved Fulham!

Written in the stars? Arsenal and Tottenham Champions League Preview

newcastle-united arsenal tottenham-hotspur sunderland

History and the bookies have Arsenal as favourites to twist the knife into Tottenham hearts in the Lilywhites’ Champions League bid for the second year running.

The Gunners smashed Newcastle at the Emirates 7-3 earlier this season – and have not been beaten at St James’ Park since way back in 2005. And, of course, any kind of win for Wenger’s team will do.   Last year a very dodgy defence at West Brom gifted Arsenal third spot over Spurs on the final day of the season.  With Magpies boss Alan Pardew already declaring his lack of interest in this fixture, the now safe black and whites are clearly on autopilot.

It’s been a long road back for Arsenal after Lennon and Bale punished them at White Hart Lane to widen the points gap to seven in the last North London derby.  But, slip ups by Spurs and a relentless run of wins by the Gunners has put them in the box seat once again.  Spurs fans will hope that their men can do their job at the Lane but they have dropped Premier League points at home by some of the lesser teams in this campaign already.  If they do go ahead, all radios will be tuned in to how seriously Newcastle have taken their task at St James’.  Let’s hope for some drama.

Predictions: Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle, Tottenham 3-1 Sunderland

Odds: Both North London teams to beat both North east teams:  6/4

More on the Champions League Final

Founded back in 1955, the Champions League is European club football’s elite competition.  It was known as the European Cup until the 1992/3 season, when only the actual champions of each country and the defending champion participated. Then, in 1997 the runners up from the stronger European football leagues were permitted to enter the Champions League also.

Since 2009, the original Champions League trophy has is retained by UEFA, with a full-size replica produced for that season’s champions. More on Champions League Betting

Aston Villa v Chelsea Preview – Ins, Outs, Stats, Tips

aston-villaAston Villa v Chelseachelsea

Villa Park – Saturday May 11 2013 12:45 BST; Referee: L. Mason

Out since December with a knee injury, Chelsea could welcome back Oriol Romeu whilst there are injury doubts for Ryan Bertrand, Jon Obi Mikel and Eden Hazard. For Villa, Marc Albrighton, Richard Dunne, Gary Gardner and Chris Herd are still out injured as Manager Paul Lambert should name the same team that beat Norwich 2-1.  Matt Lowton has a thigh injury and will face a late fitness test.

A victory over the Blues finally guarantees Aston Villa Premier League safety, and they are hitting form just at the right time for this home fixture.

Chelsea look to complete a good finish to the season even though Spurs held them at the Bridge on Wednesday night.  Rafa Benitez will no doubt rotate the squad again, replacing Cahill,  Luiz, Hazard and Torres with Terry, Lampard, Moses and Ba.  How Villa must envy that luxury.  But they’ll need fresh legs as the team completes a punishing schedule.

Given the tiredness factor for the Blues and the form that Villa are in at the moment, this should be a lot tighter than the previous one sided meeting at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa v Chelsea Stats

  • Villa have won just three out their last eleven home games
  • Christian Benteke has scored more Premier League goals in 2013 than any other player (13 goals)
  • Chelsea’s recent record at Villa Park is good, winning twice, drawing once and losing once in the last four encounters there
  • Who could forget this one.  The last time Fernando Torres scored in the Premier League was against Villa in their 8-0 thrashing which was Villa’s biggest Premier League defeat ever

Aston Villa v Chelsea Tips

Half Time Score: Aston Villa 0 Chelsea 1
Full Time Score: Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 2

Real Madrid will need to attack from the off as they attempt to overturn a 3 goal deficit from the first leg, with a place in next month’s final at stake. West Brom v Arsenal Preview & Odds: Wilshere and Walcott could return for Gunners

West Brom v Arsenal Premier League match and betting odds preview.

west-bromwich-albionWest Bromwich Albion v Arsenalarsenal

The Hawthorns, Saturday 6th April 2013, kick off 15:00; Ref: Howard Webb

West Brom host a confident Arsenal side in what is shaping up to be one of the games of the day.

Baggies midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu begins a 3 match ban for being red carded last week, and James Morrison returns to cover in the midfield. For Arsenal, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott are back in training but remain doubtful.

The Gunners had an impressive 26 shots against Reading on Saturday although only six were on target.  And although Arsenal have won their last 3 EPL games against West Brom, Steve Clarke’s men have won back-to-back matches at The Hawthorns against Sunderland and Swansea.

For the hosts, Shane Long is due a goal – he has not scored in his last 430 minutes of football.  The same can be said of Theo Walcott who has zero goals in his last 5 matches.

Arsenal are on a fine run of form and have a knack of scoring late goals this season. In fact, no other team has scored more goals after the 76th minute (The Gunners have netted 15).
The Baggies are no easy beats and they will be out to avenge their loss at West Ham last week by halting Arsenal’s great run towards a top four finish.

The Gunners are the favourites to win this with the bookies, with good returns for a home win or a draw.

Reading v Southampton Preview: Royals to stop rot?

Reading v Southampton Premier League match and betting odds preview.

readingReading v Southamptonsouthampton

Madejski Stadium, Saturday 6th April 2013, kick-off 12:45.
Ref: Mike Jones; Live on Sky Sports 2

Jimmy Kebe (groin) is the only player out for Reading as Nigel Adkins has an otherwise fit squad to choose from.  Southampton will wait on fitness tests for goalkeeper Artur Boruc and Adam Lallana.

Reading are in deep trouble, having picked up just 5 points from 16 games away from home this season.  It doesn’t take a genius to work out that this is a must-win at home for the Royals if they have any realistic hope of avoiding returning to the Championship.  They’ve now lost 6 Premier League matches in a row.

The Royals have made a habit of putting themselves in difficult positions early on in games, conceding the first goal 19 times this season already.

Southampton are coming off a fantastic win at home against Chelsea and will be full of confidence. The Saints have scored more times than any other team outside the top seven (44 goals) but they have not yet won away from home under Mauricio Pochettino in 4 EPL games.

Reading will be desperate to give themselves some hope of climbing off the bottom of the table but if they concede first again in this game it could signal the beginning of the end of the Royals’ Premier League survival battle.

Norwich City v Swansea City Preview: Tettey and Bunn return for Canaries, Rangel likely for Swans

Norwich City v Swansea City Premier League match and betting odds preview.

norwich-cityNorwich City v Swansea Cityswansea-city

Carrow Road, Saturday 6th April 2013, kick-off 15:00. Ref: Michael Oliver

Norwich keeper Mark Bunn is back from suspension and Alexander Tettey is fit to play after recovering from a knee injury.  Anthony Pilkington is out.  For Swansea, Angel Rangel could be available after recovering from a calf problem and will undergo a test as will Flores and Augustien.

Norwich City’s form over the last 14 games is the worst in the Premier League, with the Canaries collecting just 9 points.  Against Swansea they have won all 3 of their Premier League meetings though, which have all been high scoring affairs.  Captain Grant Holt will be looking to add to his tally of 3 goals in his last 2 appearances against the Swans.

Swans goal machine Michu has scored an amazing 39% of Swansea’s goals this Premier League season. This is bettered only Christian Benteke.  However, in 2013 Michu has not once found the net away from the Liberty Stadium.

Stat: Swansea have not won a single Premier League match in the 2012/13 season after they have gone behind.

Stoke City v Aston Villa Preview: Benteke to test Potters

Stoke City v Aston Villa Premier League match and betting odds preview.

stoke-cityStoke City v Aston Villaaston-villa

Britannia Stadium, Saturday 6th April; kick-off 15:00. Ref: Mark Clattenburg

Matthew Etherington is doubtful for Stoke and will undergo a fitness test.  For Villa, Ciaran Clark is still a doubt after injuring his shoulder on international duty for the ROI while Brett Holman should play.

Stoke aren’t exactly on fire at the moment, 34 points from 31 matches being their worst in five seasons in the EPL.   The Potters have just one win from their last 6 league matches played at the Britannia Stadium, very unlike the Stoke of seasons gone by.  They need to get more shots on target, as they’ve the lowest statistic in the league (together with Reading, 94 shots on target).

On Saturday, they come up against an Aston Villa team who are in even worse form, with the silver lining being the goal-scoring form of Christian Benteke (9 in 11 Premier League games).  Villa have sunk steadily lower in the table as the season has worn on and haven’t kept a clean sheet for 15 Premier League games.  Conversely, if Premier League matches ended at half-time, Aston Villa would be sixth in the table – above Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal.  Unfortunately, they don’t and Villa aren’t – so if they go ahead in the first half on you may know what to expect.

Difficult to predict, this one.  A low scoring draw could be on the cards.

Liverpool v West Ham Preview: Allardyce admits frustration over Carroll, Noble may return

Liverpool v West Ham Premier League match and betting odds preview.

liverpoolLiverpool v West Hamwest-ham-united

Anfield, Sunday April 7th, 2013; kick off 13:30. Ref: Anthony Taylor

Big Sam Allardyce is understandably frustrated about in-form Andy Carroll’s ineligibility for this match at Anfield. “It’s frustrating for him and for us, but that was the terms of the agreement,” said Allardyce earlier today.  “Our real problem has been away from home. Goals. Sunday’s going to be a big test for us, because we go away, we create chances and we don’t score.”

Following his 4 shots on Sunday, Luis Suarez has produced the most shots on-target (60) in the Premier League this season.  Liverpool have won 6 of their last 8 Premier League games against West Ham and will fancy themselves to overpower them on Sunday, too. The Reds’ home form is excellent with five wins from their last six at Anfield.

For the Hammers, Carroll has scored four times in his last six EPL games, so his to absence will significantly blunt the Hammers’ attacking options and aerial strength.

Some pretty good odds on a draw on this one, and massive returns for a rare Hammers win at Anfield.  Stranger things have happened…like maybe the Reds giving Andy Carroll another chance?

Tottenham v Everton Preview: Spurs stars sidelined as Moyes sweats on Mirallas

tottenham-hotspurTottenham Hotspur v Evertoneverton

White Hart Lane, Sunday April 7th; kick off 14:05. Ref: Andre Marriner
Live on ESPN

Spurs have a mini-crisis after Gareth Bale’s ankle injury, Jermain Defoe still sidelined, and Aaron Lennon and William Gallas recovering from injuries they also suffered against Basel on Thursday night.  For Everton, it’s more of a suspension crisis as star players Fellaini and Pienaar sit out, while last week’s match-winner Kevin Mirallas could recover from a groin injury suffered against Stoke.

In their last meeting at Goodison Park, Everton managed to score two late goals to win the match at the death.  The same thing happened again to Tottenham just down the road away to Liverpool. The Lilywhiltes are in a great position to finish in the top 4 and need to get their momentum going again for the run in.

Everton have now won three consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since January 2010, with all of those games being at Goodison.  Only the Manchester teams have a better home record than Everton (33 points from 16 games).  In contrast, David Moyes’ team have not won in their last three matches away from home in the Premier League (lost 2, drawn 1).

At this same stage last season, Harry Redknapp’s Spurs were a point better off than this season under AVB.  Everton’s Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic likes playing against Tottenham, having scored in both of his appearances against Spurs, but just the once in his last 14 Premier League matches.

Spurs will again be leggy from a Thursday night Europa League match, so the Toffees will have a better chance of emulating Fulham’s rare win at White Hart Lane.  The injuries to Bale, Lennon and Gallas could prove to be decisive.  Spurs will also need to contain the dangerous and in-form Leighton Baines.  Everton look good value for an away win.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1 Everton 2
Betting odds on full time result: Tottenham win 2.25, Draw 3.30 Everton win 3.30

Probable line-ups:
Tottenham (4-4-1-1): Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Sigurdsson, Parker, Livermore, Dembele; Holtby, Adebayor.
Everton (3-5-2): Howard; Heitinga, Jagielka, Distin; Coleman, Gibson, Mirallas, Osman, Baines; Anichebe, Jelavic.

Chelsea v Sunderland Preview: Ba set to return as Blues welcome Di Canio to Bridge

Chelsea v Sunderland Premier League match and betting odds preview.

chelseaChelsea v Sunderlandsunderland

Stamford Bridge, Sunday April 7th; kick-off 15:00. Ref: Neil Swarbrick

Chelsea striker Demba Ba should return for Sunday’s match after being cup-tied for the Rubin Kazan game, probably replacing Fernando Torres at the front.  Defenders Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole remain injured.  Sunderland will wait on David Vaughan and Carlos Cuellar who will undergo fitness tests (groin, ankle respectively) for Paolo Di Canio’s first game in charge.

Chelsea will be glad to be back at Stamford Bridge, having failed to win any of their last four away games. The Blues’ away form (over five games) is actually worse than both Queens Park Rangers and Villa’s.  But Sunderland is a rich source of points for Chelsea – they’ve won 15 of their last 16 Premier League clashes with Sunderland. They tend to score plenty against them at home, netting 36 goals in 9 EPL games against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.

Paolo Di Canio, who has already had to contend with a torrid media frenzy over non-football issues,  inherits a Sunderland side who have the worst record in the Premier League in the last 8 matches – just three points gained. He is the fifth manager to start his time in a Premier League job with a trip to Stamford Bridge. None of the previous four have won there.

It’s a big ask for Sunderland to win against the might of this expensively assembled Chelsea outfit who rarely lose two in a row.  Will the ‘new manager effect’ kick in for the Black Cats?  Good betting odds if it does, but perhaps not where the smart money will be.

Prediction: Chelsea 4 Sunderland 0
Betting odds on full time result: Chelsea win 1.33, Draw 5.00 Sunderland win 10.00

Probable line-ups:
Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Bertrand, Ramieres, Mikel, Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Ba.
Sunderland (4-4-2): Mognolet; Gardner, O’Shea, Bramble, Rose; Johnson, N’Diaye, Larsson, McClean; Graham, Wickham.

Newcastle v Fulham Preview: Gouffran returns for Magpies as Fulham’s Dejagah misses out

Newcastle v Fulham Premier League match and betting odds preview.

newcastle-unitedNewcastle v Fulhamfulham

St. James’ Park, Sunday April 7th; kick-off 15:00. Ref: Kevin Friend

Yoan Gouffran is available for Alan Pardew and Mathieu Debuchy while Cheick Tiote are doubtful (both hamstring).  Fulham will miss Steve Sidwell in the midfield (suspended) as well as Ashkan Dejagah and striker Mladen Petric.

The Magpies will be glad to be back at St James’ – Only Reading have a worse away record than Newcastle this season. 25 of Newcastle’s 33 points have been picked up at home and the Magpies have won only once in 16 games away from St. James’ Park.  If they win this, it’ll be 4 straight home wins.

For Fulham, Dimitar Berbatov is on top form, having provided 8 of Fulham’s 13 shots on target in their last four Premier League games (against Stoke, Sunderland, Spurs and QPR) and scoring in every one of them.  The Cottagers have won 5 of their last 7 Premier League games against the Magpies and have only lost once in their last 5 away games.

Given Newcastle’s league table position (just 3 points above the relegation places), they should come out hungrier than Fulham (39 points and in 10th position) who do not have as much to play for this season now.  Or will fresher Fulham have too much for their Europa League travelling opponents – after all, Tottenham recently came undone at White Hart Lane in similar circumstances against the men from Craven Cottage.

Prediction: Newcastle 2 Fulham 1
Betting odds on full time result: Newcastle win 2.05, Draw 3.40 Fulham win 3.60

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Schwarzer, Riether, Senderos, Hangeland, Riise, Frimpong, Karagounis, Duff, Ruiz, Emanuelson, Berbatov.
